Its Ms. Young-WIlliams. I am not married. I do not think the ministry of education lets the public access their records or such and if they do there may be a possibility I will have to pay, which is not a luxury I can afford on a whim. Thank you for the Caribbean Journal link I do hope it is helpful to me. I have never heard of this gender and development studies dept. of uwi. Answer

Thank you for using the "Ask-A-Librarian" service. Yes there is active research on sociology and psychology in the Caribbean. However, it would be good to state your actual research topic, so that I may attempt to address your specific need for information. Through UWIlinC (http://www.open.uwi.edu/library/uwi-open-campus-library ) you do have access to several articles and books on Caribbean sociology and psychology. Do use your myOC login credentials to access UWIlinC.   Regards, Selwyn Rodulfo Librarian Dear Mrs. Young-Williams,   I would like to suggest that you begin your research by exploring what material is available in your own country through the "Ministry of Education", gender organizations, and research bodies that are explorins issues related to education, social media and gender issue. Furthermore, their is the Gender and Development Studies Department  of UWI. You can also seek out any organization that may be involved in research on the influence of social media on youths and/or "social media and violence". Once again, explore what is available in your country first. This research topic appears to also be sociological. I'll continue to explore other particular links that are available. Hope this response assists in you in moving forward. (do have a look at the Caribbean Journal of Psychology http://ojs.mona.uwi.edu/index.php/cjpsy ) Regards, Librarian
